Make a splash with the whole family at Newlands Leisure Centre Family Fun Swim!
Our 23-metre swimming pool has a depth of 0.9m at the shallow end and 1.8m at the deep end. A qualified lifeguard will be on poolside throughout the session, with changing rooms, lockers and showers available.
Free on-site parking is also available.
Attendance Rules
Please do not attend if unwell.
If you have had diarrhoea or vomiting, you must be at least 48 hours clear before swimming.
Following Cryptosporidium, you must be at least 14 days clear before swimming.
No entry if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Babies and toddlers must wear swim nappies.
Parents/guardians should provide flotation aids where required.
Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times – outdoor clothing is not permitted in the pool.
No outdoor shoes are permitted in the changing areas.
Pool Rules
No diving, running, bombing, acrobatics or shouting.
No food, drink or glass on poolside.
Please follow lifeguard instructions at all times.
Please shower before entering the pool.
Children must be appropriately supervised in line with the ratios below.
Supervision Ratios
Under 4 years: 1 adult to 1 child
Ages 4–7: 1 adult to a maximum of 2 children
Ages 8+: May swim without an accompanying adult if deemed a competent swimmer
For supervision purposes, an adult must be aged 18+.
Entry will be refused if the required supervision ratios are not met.
Please note: Our online booking system may allow bookings that do not meet the required supervision ratios. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure the above ratios are followed. Entry cannot be permitted where the required supervision ratios are not met.
