Leisure Focus is recruiting for the position of Duty Manager at  Braywick Leisure Centre in Maidenhead. Reporting into the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for 

  • Day to day operation of the center including health and safety, 

  • Providing excellent customer experience

  • Financial procedures and

  • Leading, managing and training recreation staff.

(Each Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities)

More about you

The successful candidate should have a depth of knowledge, skills and experience of leisure centre operations and experience of working in a busy leisure environment. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

(It is desirable, not essential to hold a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) and Pool Plant Operators)

You will need a flexible approach to work being open to working shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Food & Beverage Assistant

Job title : Food & Beverage Assistant

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage Assistant will be:

  • To supervise the day to day operations of the cafe and catering facilities.

  • To ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.

The Food and Beverage Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To supervise the day to day operation of the cafe, and kitchen of the Centre.

  • To prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.

  • To ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.

  • Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.

  • To ensure that the kitchen and cafe areas are entered only by authorised persons.

  • To ensure that the vending machines are maintained on a regular basis

  • To ensure that all cleaning duties are completed whilst on shift.

  • To ensure that all injuries involving staff and members of the public are reported to the F&B Supervisor/ Duty Manager

  • To record any complaints and to pass to the F&B Supervisor

  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are carried out at all times.

  • Ensure that a consistently high level of service is delivered to customers.

  • To assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.

  • To undertake cleaning duties as required.

  • To undertake any regulatory requirements.

  • To be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.

  • Ensure that company financial regulations are adhered to in terms of cash handling.

  • To ensure that a safe and efficient service is provided for the public.

REQUIREMENTS

The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or related subject, first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet all customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide excellent customer service at all times

  • Handle enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate information about facilities, classes, memberships, and bookings

  • Process memberships, bookings, payments, and cancellations using the centre’s booking system

About the Role:

Leisure Focus is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fitness Instructor to join our team at Windsor Leisure Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about health, fitness, and customer service to play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for our members and supporting them in achieving their fitness goals. You will be responsible for supervising the gym floor, supporting members, delivering inductions, and contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of General Assistant is a great position to be able to carry out and be involved in the full range of leisure activities. Continually customer facing the role provides rewarding opportunities. General Assistants will perform duties pertaining to both wet and dry sites. Primary Objectives for the General Assistant will be:

  • To ensure the safety of and enjoyment of everybody using the Leisure Centre.

  • To partake in the management of all aspects of the daily activities of the Centre.

The General Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To guide, care for and assist all Leisure Centre customers.

  • To facilitate a friendly but efficient working relationship with the people who use the Leisure Centre.

  • To work as part of a team to achieve the objectives and usage targets of the Leisure Centre

  • To innovate ideas and initiate action to increase the usage of the Leisure Centre.

  • To ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort (This

  • includes the pool slides, health suite, toilets, outdoor waste management).

  • Assist the Duty Manager in the effective control and security of the facility, patrolling all appropriate areas ensuring that equipment is stored safely and securely (Including slide supervision, pool and sports hall change overs)

Job Purpose

The Duty Manager / Finance Administrator is a dual-function role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of Cox Green Leisure Centre while also providing comprehensive financial and administrative support. The role is split approximately 50% operational duty management and 50% finance administration, ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety compliance, and efficient financial processes across both sites

Key Responsibilities

Duty Manager Responsibilities (50%)

  • Act as the designated Duty Manager during allocated shifts, overseeing the safe and effective operation of the leisure centres.

  • Lead and support front-line teams, ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained.

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, emergency action plans and operational policies.

  • Conduct regular facility inspections and take appropriate action to address any issues identified.

  • Manage staffing levels during shifts, including coordinating rotas, breaks, and operational cover where required.

  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and incidents professionally and effectively.

  • Support the delivery of swimming lessons, fitness activities, and centre programmes.

  • Complete operational paperwork, accident reports, and daily management checks.

  • Process swimming lesson cancellations and amendments in line with company procedures.

  • Manage Direct Debit administration, including the processing of ADDACS notifications and associated customer account updates.

  • Investigate and resolve invoicing, payment, and account queries promptly and professionally.

  • Reconcile booking and payment records and assist with financial reporting as required.

  • Support month-end financial processes and provide administrative assistance to the management team.
