This is such an exciting opportunity for the right person to have a strong influence on the culture, direction and success of and on our overall business. Leisure Focus has ambitious plans and is looking at innovative ways to engage the local community through the leisure offer.
More about the role
- You will assist the General Manager with the implementation of the Leisure Focus Health & Safety procedures and with maintaining a high profile staff presence and a high level of interaction with staff and customers.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that staff are trained correctly and to the appropriate level and are delivering the expected level of service to our customers at all times. - You will support the Contracts Manager and General Manager in achieving objectives and assisting in specific project areas.
- You will monitor performance of staff through meeting and performance & development appraisals and monthly regular recorded 121s.
- You will oversee the day to day maintenance and cleaning within the center and assist the General Manager in coordinating and overseeing the performance of the Duty Managers . - You will ensure the staff rota is maintained to a high standard where daily/ weekly manpower is appropriately allocated in all areas.
More about you
- You will have experience in a similar role, ideally within a leisure environment - You should also have experience of supervising teams, managing them to achieve agreed daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ annually targets

- .You will need evidence at the interview how you have motivated teams to deliver on a consistent basis.
- You should also have a background in a customer facing role and be used to hitting targets to achieve individual and team targets.
(It is desirable, not essential to hold a current NPLQ and Pool Plant Operators)
You will need a flexible approach to work being open to working shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Fitness Manager, Braywick Leisure Centre

Salary £28,000 onwards depending on experience
Leisure Focus is recruiting for the position of Fitness Manager at Braywick Leisure Centre which has a passionate and thriving fitness community. We are looking for an inspiring fitness professional to take a lead role in bringing the best fitness experience to our members from arrival and throughout their journey with us.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is such an exciting opportunity for someone to have a strong influence on the culture, direction and success of a flagship leisure facility.
The main responsibilities of the suitable candidate would be
● Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times. ● Ensure the successful implementation and operation of the club’s member journey ● Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the gym and studio facilities. ● Promote excellence of customer services and motivate people to enjoy exercise ● Ensure that the financial objectives of the gym are achieved and the appropriate financial systems and procedures are implemented.
● Identify and deliver appropriate staff training and development, motivating staff to reach their potential.
Do you have below qualifications & accreditations?
● Management experience in leisure or a related industry
● Have a recognised fitness training qualification equivalent to minimum of Level 3. ● Have a fitness industry recognised qualification such as lifestyle, management or nutritional.
● Evidence of CPD in the previous 12 months.

The position of Fitness manager is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure which will be carried out by Leisure Focus.
